Sometimes, you meet people and you just can’t forget them. No matter what, you always think of them and wonder how they are each and every day. It’s not anything sexual, just an emotional bond that was shared between two friends that may never go away. No matter how hard you try you can’t stop missing them.

Fantastic weekend with the family. Steph’s sister’s graduation Thursday, beach Friday, and today we went shopping with her mom and sister. Long ride home, but glad I was with people who actually like me than at my Mom’s where she wanted me to be. Acceptance from her family is amazing. It’s almost like I’ve been there forever.

My best friends just welcome a precious 6lb 13 oz 19 inch long baby into this world. Mel and Lacey, you will be the best moms ever.

At my strongest, yet weakest point ever. Have it all figured out, yet not sure what tomorrow will bring. Live for the moment and brace for the impact. I love living life as me. I’m a workaholic perfectionist in all but my personal life and that is something that may never change. But, for what it’s worth, I’ve done all I can and I’m sure not unhappy with me. A good woman at home, a steady pay check and a family who’s there through thick and thin I don’t have much complaint. Day by day, mile by mile, hour by hour, that’s all I’m worried about and all I can fathom. Minds change like the tides and that’s why I’m only dealing with the ones dealing with me. If it all ended today, the rewards would outweigh the regrets and I couldn’t do it much better than that.

Fantastic weekend. Excellent time at the race and race festivities. I have never been put on the spot with so much PR in my life. And I have never said so many things that were put into another’s mouth. Everything I did and said was quoted as my boss’ own actions and words. That is business. Work today was no exception. I picked up a good friend and now employee this morning and she rocked the day. Made major sales with some help and gave me so much free time I actually was able to almost complete every task I had for the day. I could not ask for more. Whether it is with Michael Waltrip Racing, Genuine Parts Company, NAPA Racing, or NAPA Corporate, so many opportunities have come out of this experience. Networking at its finest. I am absolutely thrilled to see what the future holds.

Fun night of baby preparations after a looonnnnggg day at work. Road blocks have already started due to the race. Got to watch some funny ass sobriety tests though. Now, washing my “nice” clothes for tomorrow night. Have to be at the track at 6 am to get credentials. I will be sleeping in on Saturday, because sleep will not happen tonight. It’ll be more like a nap. PR prep is kicking my ass.
